Join Marika for a journey to the Vegetable Islands of Venice, where the salty waters of the lagoon and Adriatic create intensely flavored, organic vegetables like nowhere else. We’ll meet Carlo & Monica, the farmers, and harvest the seasonal bounty together: Spring: Purple baby artichokes, white asparagus, fresh herbs Summer: Giant, juicy tomatoes, sweet peppers, crunchy cucumbers, zucchini, eggplants Autumn: Vibrant radicchio, pumpkins, broccoli, and leeks.
After gathering what’s in season, we’ll enjoy a “Cicchetti & Wine” tasting en plein air to refresh and inspire us. Surrounded by nature, flavors and stories. We’ll then return to the kitchen of Villa Ines to create a true vegetable extravaganza – a vibrant feast celebrating the freshest, most flavorful produce that Venice has to offer.
